Designer Statement:
The elements of game design that resonate most with me are the mechanics. I really enjoy crafting systems with their rules and interactions, then combining everything to create a cohesive product. I would like to continue making mechanically-driven games. If the game is fun to play, my subpar art or narrative elements don't matter as much. I think an overall linear game with several brief sub-branches is my preferred structure. When people play my games, they should expect to be thrust into the action almost immediately, without spending much time on setup. The principles I stand by are: fun comes first, flexibility is key, and balance is essential. I want my games to require active thought, but not to the point where players have to spend multiple hours retrying the same level.
